I would appreciate help from anyone who can help me choose a receiver that can take both 110v and 220v input. I am currently living abroad (China) but will eventually move home to the US. I want something that will last me a while. I hope it's possible to get a dual-voltage receiver at the modetately low-end range.
I am looking in the $300-$450 range, and am currently focused on: - Onkyo 602 - Pioneer VSX-1014 (my preferred choice) - Denon 2105 or similar
If I had to pick today, it would probably be the Pioneer, based upon the high quality MOSFET power amplification, THX certification, and MCACC auto-setup.
But... the #1 issue for me is the voltage. For all I know, NONE of these receivers will take 220v, so I am wasting my time.
I am planning to buy a pair of high-quality speakers, probably Onix Rocket 750's, and the great Rocket RS200 Center channel. I know I should probably spend more on a receiver for speakers of this quality, but I am blowing my budget on the speakers themselves.
