I have read many reports of the 540R losing the digital feed from CDs and DVDs, resulting in the loss of the first few seconds of the track. Does anyone know if this has been fixed in the most recent models? I am contemplating this receiver for a second system and while I like all the reviews, am not sure I want to put up with this!
Also does anyone know if the NADT753 suffers for similar problems.
Thanks!

I auditioned the 540R for a while, and while I had it, there were some occasional cut-offs, but never so often that I could get a clear sense of the "hows" or "whens" as to their occurance.
At most, it was a half a second or so on the cut-offs, never 2 or 3 seconds.
I had to return it because I needed a receiver with a higher crossover than the 80Hz provided in the 540R. Otherwise, a simply and elegant receiver, great for sound.
