i have a 12" subwoofer (wanted an 8") and would like to find an EQ that will let me roll the lowest octave off.
my sub puts too much deep bass out when all i realy want is 50-80Hz for my tiny minimonitors. deep bass gives me a headache.
i had considered audio control's bass station, but it didn't offer the type os control i'm looking for. my best guess would be to find a parametric EQ, set it's center frequency to 20Hz and adjust the level and band bandwith to get just the amount of rolloff that i want without rattling my walls or neigbors.
anyone know of a CHEAP EQ that's designed just tweaking bass rolloff and not a graphic eq?
I was actually wondering about the same thing, but for the opposite usage. Hope someone figures this out.

I'd look into the Behringer Feedback Destroyer. It has a parametric EQ built into it where you can dial-in the frequency and the adjusted cut. Cost: $100 - 120 (US$$).
