Saturday, February 21, 2004 - 19:38 GMT Those lower-end Yamahas have very underpowered power supplies. The right numbers are about 6*30W to 6*35W at 8Ohm load.

Tuesday, February 24, 2004 - 18:48 GMT Assuming that the Yamaha Rx v740 has the same amplifier as the v730, then the clipping output at 5 channels run simultaneously is 38 watts per channel. The Yamaha Rx v1200 clips at 50 watts per channel at 5 channels run simultaneously.
