We have a Pioneer VSX-D812 receiver in our house that we use to power sspeakers in two different rooms. One room is on the A set of speakers and one room is on the B set. We want to add some small speakers on our porch but I was wondering what the best way to do that would be. I want to just put them on with the A set of speakers but both the room speakers and the porch speakers are 8 ohm speakers and the unit recommends 8 to 16 ohm speakers. If i hook up the porch speakers in parallel will that draw too much current from the receiver or do i need to hook them up in series?

You need to buy an impedance matching speaker selector with volume controls.
