when hooking up my pc to my JVC receiver i only get my surround sound speakers to work... my 2 main speakers dont work....any ideas ?

I presume you've connected both front and surround speakers to the receiver. On the soundcard, I believe the color convention is as such: green is front L/R output, black is surround L/R output, pink is mic-in, and orange is digital out.
Further, it may be that your soundcard needs to be re-configured for 4 channel or 5.1 if you have a Turtle Beach. Or it could be that the phono pin may not be inserted completely into the socket? Sounds like a simplistic answer, but when I had front, surround, digital out, line in and mic-in sockets all occupied on my soundcard, it was a little crowded and I had to really push the phono plugs in to make sure they were contacting metal inside the socket. The sockets are too close on soundcards, and some phono plugs are too large to allow 5 of them side by side to fit in there.
