This is weird. I have a fairly standard receiver (Sony STR-DE575) with 5.1 surround sound. Recently I noticed that my R front channel seemed to be much softer than all the others. I went through and ruled out the speaker, the speaker wire, etc as culprits - I'm stuck with it being the receiver. Even with the balance set as far to Right as possible, it's still much (1/4 or so) the volume as the other channels. Any suggestions? Is this fixable, or should I just go get myself a new receiver?
Dave, Is there a test tone to turn up the right front speaker?
If not, it would definitely be worth it to upgrade.
What brand/model are your speakers?

There is a test tone; one that cycles through all the speakers in turn. I'm not sure how or if I can use this to turn up specifically the R channel. Thanks for the input!
(Oh, my speakers are Bose; not sure the model. Not the little cubes)
