New member Username: FeatheadPost Number: 1 Registered: Feb-05 | I'd like to replace my 30 year old Sansui 5000 receiver but don't know with what. I plan to continue with just a 2 channel system for the short term but would like to have the capability to convert to surround in the future. I currently am using two Sansui 3000 speakers and I still play vinyl occasionally along with CD's. I assume that means I need a phono input on the receiver and the ability to run in 2 channel stereo mode. I was looking at the Yamaha RXV-450 but it doesn't say anything about a phono input. Does it have one or is there another analog input that will accomodate a turntable? Any suggestions on an appropriate receiver? Under $400 would be nice and under $300 would be nicer if it will do the job. Huge amounts of power aren't all that important. Thanks for the help. John |
