I need an authoritative answer on a couple questions:
When a receiver upconverts from, say, S-video to component, the only thing it is really doing is converting the signal to be compatible with the cable?
If so, it is taking the "C" signal and creating "Pr" and "Pb" signals, right?
First, is this a straighforward process that is accurate and reliable, or is it a finesse process that may differ by manufacturer's technique?
Second, there is no other processing occuring right? Is isn't line doubling or anything else is it?
