1. Sony tc we 475 has very goor recording abilities. 2. As a tape player, it sucks. I can't think of any adjective to describe how bad it sounds. I use an NAD C320BEE amp and polk Rt 6i speakers.
Those of you looking for a good player, just ignore TCWE 475.
