I have an older Technics Receiver that works wonderful in virtually every application but one. When I watch movies (DVD or VHS)with surround sound on I get a periodic and random "pop" through the speakers (all speakers at once). It does not do it with surround sound off (Just front two channels) nor, does it do it with surround sound on while listening to radio or cd's. It has done this in three seperate houses so I don't beleive it is power. I have upgraded every cable to virtually the best available. I have been told by one person that it may have something to do with the video signal since it only happens while watching video with surround sound on. All other configurations work fine. Does anybody know of a solution for this problem (filter, cable routing etc.) I really don't want to buy a new receiver. This paticular receiver was very expensive in its day and has great sound with many great features. Thanks to anyone who can help.
