New member Username: Pac2566Post Number: 2 Registered: Jan-05 | I have been spending way too much time trying to find the best bang for my buck. Initially I was going to get a HTIB but after rading countless message boards and reviews I figured there would be a better way to go. I finally purchased a reconditioned Onkyo SR602 for $279 that came with a 2 year warranty and feel pretty good about that purchase. Now my attention has to shift to good speakers. I am leaning towards the Onkyo HTS 240's which have gotten good reviews and are only $299 and BHphoto. When I called a local home theater dealer they said I was selling myself short and if I want quality speakers to look for brands like PSB, B & W, JM Labs etc. Does anyone have any opinions on this and if so any recommended sites to try and find the speakers of my dreams without spending big $$. Anonymous | Most people say they are comparable or superior to most of the stuff at Best Buy (eg Klipsch Synergy, Athena, etc). |
