Ben Reeves Unregistered guest | I've read loads of posts on here explaining how to run a car amp from a computer power supply (ATX) but i still can get mine to work (SPL, 1200 watt 6 channel), maybe someone can tell me where i'm going wrong. I've got 2x600W power supplies which i got of ebay and have bundled all the yellow leads together and all the black leads together and connected the yellow leads to the power terminal and black leads to the ground terminal and put a short red wire between the power and remote terminals (see pics) Sometimes the power led comes on for a second the switches off. do i need to have speakers and and and input signal for it to stay on? <img>http://www.veoda.com/1.jpg<br> <img>http://www.veoda.com/2.jpg |

Ben Reeves Unregistered guest | Sorry i've actually got 2 500W PSU's and i forgot to mention the fans on them both come on fine so i presume there working. I managed to get the amp working with a AC to Dc convertor i got from halfords put there was not enough power to turn the amp up loud Thanks |

Ben Reeves Unregistered guest | ...I have retried the amp with the switching power supply i got from halfords and it produces a very quite crackly sound even with one low power speaker, is this a sign that i have damaged the amp in some way? The switching power supply produces 5A at 13.6 volts |
