My old trusty Dual 505-2 passed away last month...
So I'm lookin to replace it asap. The problem is that I haven't decided what to buy. Shall I go for a brand new Project 1 Xpression or shall I buy a used systemdeck IIX with zeta jr arm that I found at an add???
I'd choose the Project over the Systemdek simply because of the difficulty in obtaining replacement parts. If you decide to go with the Systemdek (a better deck than the Project), I think you can get parts from Audio Note who bought Systemdek and changed the deck to eventually become their TT2.
If you decide you'd rather buy new, I prefer the Rega P2 or P3 to the Project decks, simply because of the Rega presentation being more to my liking. Regas major on Pace, Rhythm and Timing whereas Projects concentrate on a more technical presentation which ultimately leaves me cold. The Systemdek presentation had elements of both.

I've found a Thorens TD180/Rega arm and a TD320 MkII and a Project 2 tt...
So to sum up, shall I go for a used tt (Thorens TD180/Rega arm, Thorens TD320 MkII, or project 2) or a brand new Project 1Xpression???
