I'm looking to get an old Technics SA-300 or SA-303 (or up ) I used to have one a long time ago (back when I was a kid) and have rediscovered their appeal. Currently, I'm bidding on an SA-300 where the guy says the AM band works fine as do all inputs, but the FM band doesn't get anything. In any case it looks like I'll get it for super-cheap, so no FM band is acceptable. It's functionally and visually perfect otherwise. Still, what could be causing the FM band to not work at all? Could it just be a bad AM/FM switch, or is there some more complicated part that may have busted?
