Just when I think I'm getting handle on reading speaker spec sheets I find I get it wrong. So here I am with a very nice 13 watt single ended triode tube amp hooked up to some old 20+ years speakers I know I can do better. So I set up my search criteria...8 ohm, 90+ db sensity, prefer a tower speaker loacted against wall if possible. Want to buy, not build, and horns look wierd!! Then I read one of the Brit hi-fi reviews raving about the ProAc 25, stating they are a good mach at only 88db into 8 ohms.
What gives. Impossible to audition any of these on a one vs. other basis...Concident, Silverline PMC. Spendor, Soliloquay and B&W 704 being the excepion. Klipsch 35 too bright!!
You did not state a budget so I'll just throw this out there. The Legacy line has several models with 90db plus. Some of the larger floorstanders are 95-96db. Hope this helps.

Klipsch LaScala 104 db @ 1 watt/meter. 13 watts will sound like a concert.
