My husband bought a plasma tv and a reciver.. the trouble is he can't figure out how to hook the cable (cable tv.) to the recivier then the tv.. including the cable box along the way.. any help is appreciated..
That all depends on what exactly you are looking to do with all of this. Are you just trying to get tv sound to come out through the receiver? If so, you can bypass the tv altogether. Just hook one end of a standard rca audio cable (the one that has two plugs on each end--one red and one white) to the "audio out" of the cable box and the other end to one of the "audio inputs" of the receiver. Then just switch the receiver to whichever input you used, and the tv sound should be coming through the speakers. Like I said, unless you have connectivity or input issues with the tv, you do not need to connect it directly to the receiver at all.
I hope this is what you were looking for. If not, please post again and I can try to help further.
