i need advice on best a/v connections.
equipment:
mitsubishi ws-48311 tv with:
1 composite monitor out
2 composite input w/ s-video
2 component in y/g,pb/b,pr/r
2 rf in 1 rf loop out

Onkyo tx-sr600 a/v receiver
3 composite in w/ s-video on back panel a 4th on front of receiver
1 composite out w/ s-video
1 monitor out, composite or s-video
1 composite dvd in w/ s-video and surround conections
2 optical digital in
1 optical digital out
1 digital coax in
toshiba rd-xs32 dvdr
2 composite in w/ s-video
2 composite out w/ s-video
1 component out
digital coax and optical out
1 rf in 1 rf out
tivo dvr
2 composite out 1 w/ s-video
1 composite in w/ s-video
1 rf in 1 rf out
sony vcr
1 composite in 1 out
1 rf in 1 out
analog cable no box
any help would be appreciated

Depends on what kind of sonic legends/myths/facts you tend to believe:-)
I use Monster Cables, only because I can get them for 75% off retail, other than that I would get. Other than that I use Kimber Cables. I look at construction materials and how well they are made. You can also try Acoustic Research.

I use Dayton Audio interconnects, based on others' recs on this board. Seem to work well, at a fraction of the cost of Monster. See www.partsexpress.com. For speaker cable, you can get good deals on partsexpress, or ebay, for good basic 12 ga copper, which for me is plenty good enough.
