New member Username: TzeleungPost Number: 1 Registered: Oct-04 | Hi! I'm going to buy my first serious Hi-Fi system, I'm very exciting and nervous and I need you guys' opinion I read a lot of review about Amp. It seems that a lot of people still love Tube Amp, and think that for a $500-600, the sound of Tube Amp is better. But then I saw NAD C352 always show in the review. So here are my questions: 1) If I can only spend $1,000-1,200 USD to buy a amp plus a pair of speakers, should I go for Tube or integrated amp? 2) What is the best combination of Tube Amp + speakers based on my budget? 3) What is the best combination of integrated Amp + speakers based on my budget? 4) I'm thinking of NAD C352 + B&W DM602 S3, is there any combination do better than this? I listen wide range of music such as rock to jazz, new age, clasic, techno... Thanks you very much for your help. |
August Unregistered guest | Which tube amps in the price range $500-600 are you considering? I thought a descent tube amp costed more than that. |
