Additional IR target (for NAD receiver, IR in connector)

I want to be able to control my NAD T753 from the room with the "B speaker set", and have been looking at IR repeaters on the net. One device for receiving signals, and another one for re-emitting them to my receiver.

The solutions I've seen need separate 12V DC though, meaning I need to set up two 12V dongles (occupy two AC sockets) and route power cables around for this - forget about it!

Then I remembered that the NAD has IR in jack plugs on the back side, and was wondering if maybe I can use that one? I have already set up a cable duct for the speaker cables, so using that for something I plug into the IR in at the same time would be perfect.

Problem is, I have really no idea what kind of equipment I would have to use with the IR in connector on the back side. Ideally, it would just be a 12m long cable, jack plug on one side, and a cute and small IR target/receiver on the other end. No extra power cables, no extra anything.

Does anything like this exist - is it possible to have a setup like that?
