Just thought I would find out if anyone else was having problems with a Dell 1350 cnw printer. This is supposed to be a wireless network printer however I have found the wireless adaptor to be very flaky. Initially it would connect to my network and pick up an IP address but once it had gone to sleep (which I cannot stop it from doing) it would not wake up again and would require me to reboot the printer after which it would work again. Needless to say I got onto Dell who, as ever, gave excellent customer service but after 4 replacement printers (one of which was nothing to do with the adaptor) I have given up and had to re-arrange my set up so that I could connect the printer to the router via ethernet cable. Don't get me wrong the printer is good. I like the speed and quality of output - I have used my old inkjet photo paper and photos are good. I love the way it sets up to do 2 sided printing (manual)but why do they have a wireless adapter that is flaky?
