Today I had the cable internet company come by and set me up. He said he had to put a splitter in the coaxial cable because the internet signal was TOO good. Would it be a bad idea to bypass the splitter and hook up directly? At the moment I'm paying for 17mbph and getting 27.8 so I'm happy, but was just wondering if I'm in the position to increase it.
no when there is a device that doesn't support your internet speed the device will just simply not be as fast when loading things on the internet, also if there are multiple people/devices on your internet you will want fast internet because the bandwidth usage ads up.
