This Gateway LCD monitor (LE1936) has been getting progressively worse over the past few months.
Usually, it looks something like this: (scaled up)
And if I'm looking at white text in a colored area, it's like double vision.
The interesting thing is, it has come back to clarity two times. One, right now, has been perfect crystal clarity since I noticed it ten minutes ago. The other came back slightly, but a faint drop shadow/double image could be seen under closer examination--but still regressed back into being blurry, so I expect it go bad again, this time.
Display resolution different to monitor's native resolution. LCD monitors have a fixed number of pixels vertically and horizontally - this is its native resolution. If the current display mode is set to a lower resolution then there will be some interpolation going on. For the crispest display set the display resolution the same as the monitors resolution.
