New member Username: ThegandaPost Number: 3 Registered: Jul-07 | Hey, Newbie here... Trying to connect my laptop SPDIF (through 1/8 mini) to my receivers dig coax. Bought this cable from ram http://www.ramelectronics.net/html/RCA-mini-spdif.html and tried to hook it up but it didnt work. Set up the soundcard for digital output and everything. Is this the wrong cable or is there something i need to tweak for it to work? Also, if there is a better converter for connecting these two please let me know. Thanks! |

Silver Member Username: WojoproSummerville, SC Post Number: 271 Registered: Nov-04 | Correct me if I am wrong but I am pretty sure you are trying to play your comps sound through your receiver. If that is the case you have to have a spdif input on your receiver. That cable if I am correct is for input use only. IE: MP3 player. Hopefully someone with more knowledge on spdif can correct me or confirm. |
