And FWIW, I've found that Dell has offered generally better value overall (I recently obtained a laptop as well). For 790 shipped + taxes, I got a Core Duo 1.73GHz, 2GB Ram, 160GB 5400RPM Hard Drive, and ATI x1400 Graphics Card. It'll do any day to day stuff with ease, hold lots of music, and do some very light gaming (I play older games obviously, but they're still fun, and I'm not hugely interested in shelling out $50 for the next version of Quake, although I'm sure it will be so radically different...) |
