I have been doing research as best I can for a good 7.1 surround. It is mostly for Gaming on my PC. I have looked into PC Speaker systems but there is few out there and quite old at that. I would like to invest in a nice system that I could hook up to my PC. I have a Creative Labs Soundblaster X-FI Platinum Shown here with Specs. http://www.soundblaster.com/products/product.asp?category=1&subcategory=208&prod uct=14065&nav=1 The issue I am having is I am stepping away form my Klipsch Promedia 5.1 they are dead. I have read in some places that creative has their own encoding and doesnt follow generic standards. Anyone out there that can direct me to a good 7.1 system that would sound really good for around $1,000.00? Or just offer advice. I would like to step away from legacy Computer based speaker systems and really shake the foundation of my home. I had the older set of Klipsh that had the two 10" subs back to back and it was chaotic, just amazing sound. I would like to match that quality. Thanks for any help that can be given. I have read for about 2 weeks on audio and am just shocked at how in depth it can really be. So in a last resort I am crawling out of my hermit shell to ask for advice. Thanks in advance eno. |
