Is this memory chip in place yet?

What kind of computer are you using?

hey berny how it going

no i have not got the ram yet- still on way to me-, i did everything right- but miss one small detail

density,
and that something i never notice before

im useing a
gigabyte GA-7vtxh+ MOBO --AMD Duron CPU Speed: 1000 MHz

bleieve me i been do some reading of late when i came across this report

http://www.overclock.net/faqs/113885-info-what-difference-between-low-density.ht ml

What is the Difference Between Low Density and High Density RAM

(A lot of users have fallen into attractive CHEAP PRICE trap by High Density module sellers and have complained that they are either VERY SLOW and/or will not run at all )

(A lot of users have fallen into attractive CHEAP PRICE trap by High Density module sellers and have complained that they are either VERY SLOW and/or will not run at all )

(eBay are plagued with High-Density 1GB modules at very low price, and you will be wasting your precious time and money having to return those high density 1GB modules to your seller for refund. So AVOID those 'High-Density)

also came across this report all so

but and a big But
im now wondering if i made a big erro in going cheap and with high density

Doing good Arnie, thanks!

Personally I don't know much about the high density stuff...but I'll put a word out for you and maybe they can give you a better answer.

well , i have found out low density ram is 100 % compatable with all system, while high density is compatible with maybe 10 % of system, and if you have a Intel, or nivida chip, do not even try, it will not work, as both co use a different set of chip---what we work is AMD or via chip, and even that there a possible that the computer will only see half of the ram
i came across a couple link that say the high density ram it noting more then defect low density, but i have not seem to much info on that

but i do know low density ram cost two time as much as high density

here's a couple of good links to check out in relation to ram

berny

well the got the ram and try it, it was suppose to be a 1GB of ram, but compter only see 512MB of it

any one buying RAM DO NOT GET HIGHT DENSITY RAM- as most compter can not use it, and if ther cam will see only half of it

my compter was suppose to be in the top 10 % that could use it, but did not
i have AMD cpu and a gigabyte MOBO, well a lot of good that did me

wish i would have know that ther was a diffent before i got it on e bay- now i find out hight density ram is all over e bay

buter beware- and do not get hight density ram- you be sorry if you did

I guess it just sounded so good with the words "high density" :-(

low density ram,is the way, it use in all compter and is compatable,

if high density can NOT be use in over 80 % of compter, why are ther make it
