Can I connect my cable TV to my laptop and use my laptop as a TV screen? I have a brand new Hp computer so I'm not worried about video and sound card support.
no i am using comcast as my provider and i was told i could watch tv over my laptop. I am connected to my modem with a data cable but i don't know where to go from here.
You may not be worried about video and sound card support, but is your laptop capable of audio and video inputs? A data cable will not do you any good without any of these. What program are you running to accept video and audio? Who told you that you could watch TV over your laptop? You can only do that with the proper program with the proper inputs.
