I am working on a laptop for a friend. It's a gateway solo 1400. The screen has decided that it doesn't want to display anything. i have checked for loose wires. nothing seems to work. i connected the laptop to my desktop monitor and the system worked fine. the light on the lcd is working. all that shows on the screen is a lighted up screen. is there anyone that can help me. i have run out of ideas.
I assume you know a lot about laptop wiring. I have a question:
Can I take a laptop LCD screen and turn it into a regular monitor? I'd need to find the power and video wires . . . where can I find wiring diagrams for LCD screens?
