Gold Member Username: IlluminatorUSA Post Number: 1606 Registered: Apr-05 | DVD isn't optimal on laptops, I know of many portable DVD players that get a much better battery life from normal use in contrast to a laptop. Parents giving kids laptops? More than 1/2 of all laptops repaired (opinion) are damaged by customer abuse i.e. dropping etc. I can't even imagine what kids would do to them. Given convenience, I would have a cell any day over a laptop for communication. iPods with 20gb HDDs are much more convenient as well. The music is easy to access; there is no navigating through complex menus or program startup time to just play a song. Volume output on laptops isn't that great either. |
