I could get a good box for those subs for $150 built by someone that knows what their doing....180 + 150 = $330 and that's for brand new stuff. I know your box is supposedly the bomb, it sounds like it w/ the Diamond port but your reaching on that asking price. |

A non emus Unregistered guest | SQ on the Perfects is great, just wish I would have bought 12s when I did. Instead I replaced them with the Type Rs. Anyway, I ran the Perfects off an A/B amp and I think that makes a difference. A lot of people say it doesn't when it comes to subs. Of course it could have just been the subs. They are the best things infinity makes, aside from the Perfect Components. And the hit incredible for 10s I think. That's just me.... |

Bronze Member Username: A3formePost Number: 77 Registered: Sep-04 | Erik, Most of this was free because of my Bro-in-law's shop Alpine 9827 HU JL ZR650-Csi Components (Front) Orion XTR9002 2-ID MAX 12's Ported Enclosure tuned to 33hz JBL BPX2200.1 Only thing I bought were the ID MAXs (at cost of course) The Orion XTR is a little too much power for the JL components but I'm careful. The JBL amp has surprised me. Does very well, doesn't get but barely warm. I woudln't have bought this amp, but it's done good. And the 2 ID MAX are really TOO MUCH. They get insanely loud before they even start to distort. Very clean sounding, good midbass transition as Jon and others have pointed out. I also don't like the Huge box taking up all my cargo area. So, most likely I'll be changing it out again. Probably to 1 ID MAX or a Brahma 12 maybe an Eclipse Ti. I'd just have to probably sell the JBL amp, use the Orion for the sub, and get a new amp for the JLs. See, and I just don't want to bother with that right now. |
