Dual 2 Ohm Voice Coils and they are 2000 Watts RMS combined and I had a 1800watt RMS Mono block amp Is there a way I could wire that amp to power both subs at 900 watts? Even tho the amp is mono |

Well thats not gonna happen, but you will only be underpowering your subs by 200W, so it may not make a huge differance. Try it and see but i would consider a bigger amp because 1000W RMS sub are big subs that dont like to be underpowered. |

Silver Member Username: SouthernrebelLouisiana USA Post Number: 160 Registered: Mar-04 | yes, you can (and those subs will do pretty well w/ 900w each) if you wire the subs to the 1800w amp each sub will get 900watts. this is assuming that the amp puts out 1800 watts a 2 ohm and you wire teh subs in series-parrallel. if the amp puts out 1800wrms at 1ohm the you would need DVC 4 ohm sub (wired parrallel)to get effect. |

A quality 2200W amp will be over $1000 usually, yes. There are amps for less, but not many good ones. Two Kicker 1200.1s would do it as well. |
