I have just bought these (Alpine cda-9833r and infinity kappa 60.5) and am going to put them in my Rav4 using the factory fitted speakers in the rear. Would this sound ok without an amp and using the rear speakers and what is your opinion on the head unit/speakers that i have bought ?
I don't know anythig about the Kappa's, but I just got my 9833 a few days ago and I haven't installed it yet. I'm certain it will sound awesome. Way better than the factory deck I'm sure. I've installed 2 pairs of Alpine 176A component speakers in my Dakota front and back. They sound SOO much better than stock. I can tell they are hungry for more power. I hope the 9833 will be enough. BTW, did you run a 10 awg power lead from your deck to the battery? How did you ground?
