Gold Member Username: Jonathan_fGA USA Post Number: 1392 Registered: May-04 | What kind of enclosure do you plan to use? Typically, you'd need 800-900W RMS with the recommended sealed box. Different enclosures determine the power needed. Being a dual 2 ohm sub, you'll need either a 1 ohm stable amp or an amp that will put the recommended power into a 4 ohm load (too much for your budget). A JBL 600.1 would work well, I'd do 2.0 cu ft ported box tuned to around 30 hz. If you want a sealed box or more power in a ported for SPL, a JBL 1200.1 may be floating around for under $250 if you look around enough. |

Silver Member Username: JmloughreyFarmington, CT Post Number: 235 Registered: Jul-04 | memphis does make pretty good amps, i'd say it work, its says 1100watt amp, i'm going with that being the max, itll probbaly put out about 500-600rms, that should do you pretty well...not certain though...that 1100 could be at rms at 1ohm....find the amp on a website and get the specs of it |
