New member Username: Jmd11185Post Number: 8 Registered: 12-2003 | ok...I have a solo baric L7 12''..its about 3 weeks old now I been pushin it on a fosgate 300 watt amp and it hits like crazy..but people been tellin me that i need a bigger amp cuz it takes a lot more so we put a different amp to it...I think it was a power acoustic 600...and it hit harder but at high volumes made this popping sound It scared the crap out of me so i plugged it back up to my fosgate...does this mean i should put an amp bigger then the first one on this sub? |
New member Username: Tikolx333Post Number: 43 Registered: 12-2003 | lol acoustic sucks prolly putting out the same power as the fosgate also you prolly had the gain up on the acoustic so it sent out dirty nasty distorted power. You need an amp that will push atleast 1000 watts and have the gain down 3/4. Once you do that the "hits like crazy" is going the have a whole new meaning for you. Is your subs dual 4 ohm or single? |

New member Username: GlasswolfPost Number: 389 Registered: 12-2003 | The S12L7 is rated for 750 watts RMS. That 81000D is rated for 750W x 1 @ 4 Ohms. It'd be a great match to the sub you have, and still ideal if you add a second L7. |
