is it necessary to put a fuse in before the amp or will it be protected allready (can i hook it straight to battery). Earthquake PA 2150. 700watt RMS @ 2 ohms. 2 channel

Put the fuse in, that's why it's in the wiring kits.

Fuse it no more then 18 inches away from the battery. Ideal is 12 inches.
