The cab of my truck is too small to fit my twin Alpine 12" Type S's. In fact its too small to fit one of them. I was thinking about cutting the back of my cab out and welding a steel work box to the cab and bed. Another idea is putting the workbox in the bed and cutting tubes from the bed to my cab for the subs to point into. Any input would be helpful.
Also could i use a steel sealed workbox as a box for my subs, assuming it had enough cubic feet. Or would i have to make an MDF box inside?
thanks to anyone who helps me out

that has actuly been done before believe it or not i wouldnt use the steel as the box though it could have a crappy sound to it and keep in mind that your truck body is ment to flex in between the cap and the box so i would make the box fit snug in the cap and then cut the hole in the box about 2 or 3 inches biger all the way around if you want to you could try using a kinda hard rubber to fill in the gap around the box and the bed
