PLease help, good amp for RE SE 12" sub

I'm planning to get the Resonate Engineering SE sub and I am wondering what mono amp I should get. Also is PPI a good amp brand. IF I run an amp that is 500watt mono will it mess it up because the sub is 600 rms.
