Close to the woofer in the door (below 5 inches preferably) angled up toward the center of the car works very well for Kappa Perfects. This will still have great detail, and allow the woofer and tweeter to blend vocals together better.
Okay thanks jonathan. I didnt really have enough room in the door so i actually mounted them in the kick panel next to it, seems to sound very crisp and clear there
Im now experiencing a strange kind of sudden sqheel noise as i turn the volume up pretty high.
Is this what you guys call "clipping" ? What causes this?
The amp im using is: 75w rms x 4 @ 4ohms. I know the kappa's are rated 100 rms. Is this what is causing the problem? Because i previously read a thread with u and Matt Lavalee having a big depate about underpowering the kappa perfects?
Is it a consistent squeal, or one that only happens when a strong tweeter signal is given? It very well could be clipping or distortion, but hard to say by the description.
Its only when the volume is up high and hitting hard notes. I have the gains right down on the amp so im not even getting that much volume at all, just this strange noise.
