ive narrowed it down to 2 subwoofers the 15in kicker comp or the 15 in adire tempest,I will get 2 of them, what will give me the best spl/sq on a jbl 1200.1 in a vented box, I was worried about the high ohm impedences on the adire because my amp runs best at 1 ohm
i would go with 2 15" Kicker CompVr's. I like the Adire Tempest but I'm a Kicker fan. The Kicker will give you more SPL and sounds pretty good but the Tempest sounds better but not as loud. Go with the Kicker's.
And actually, the tempest would hit harder, it has a good bit more excursion than a Comp VR. Both will be overpowered, in a vented box I wouldn't give either over 300W per sub.
If you wanna get kickers get 2 15" L7. Put them in vented boxes.
