Your radio may have been recoded to a different number
Make sure you are entering the code correctly
Press and hold preset "AS" and switch radio ON Display shows "SAFE" and then Shows " 10 - - - - " Press preset " 1 " repeatedly for 1st digit Press preset " 2 " repeatedly for 2nd digit Press preset " 3 " repeatedly for 3rd digit Press preset " 4 " repeatedly for 4th digit If the correct code number is now shown press and hold preset "AS" until unit beeps
Thanks - that's the procedure I used. However, the radio isn't in the car, and doesn't have the display. That said, the radio does output the beep when pressing & holding the AS & power on button. I press three times for each number 2, and ten times for the number 9.
