Anonymous | thanks, and i should face the subs upwords toward the window right? and do u think 1 dynamat extreme bulk kit will be enough to dynamat it? Im going to order some X.XX's if the MT's dont come out soon enough, they quoted me at $485 for a 15 mt shiped and im probably going to get 2, and run them off a decent amp w/ decent power, probably only 750 rms to each, or im going to get 1 18 and get a good amp with good power and some RE componants, which would be a better setup, (spl) but i want it to sound good because im a daily driver and i wanna have the loudest with quality system at my school, by the way im building the box so they will match the exact specs for whichever i need. |

Anonymous | look into an suv, like a 95 or 96 chevy blazer... huge cabin gain |
Anonymous | also, just curious... what is the system??? |

I used one myself with two twelves and 320 watts RMS between them.. hit over 150 consistantly at events. gotta love that from a pair of twelves made in 1989. anyway, sub positioning is totally up to you.. play around and see what works for you. I'm going with two RE 12" now with 1Kwatt each. |
Anonymous | thanks, but do u think 2 mt 15's running off a hifonics 1500 watt amp or 1 18 mt running off a jl 1000/1 would do better? thx |
Anonymous | hey, im sorry that this doesnt relate to car audio but ive been looking at some of the civic hatchbacks and they're kinda ugly, if u or anyone could possibly recamend me a body kit that would make it look good i would really appriciate it, thx, o and do u think 1 dynamat extreme bulk kit would be enough |

Anonymous | ya but ive seen them w/ body kits and they do look ok w/ body kits, do u know of any good ones and could u give me a link possibly? |
Silver Member Username: GrmncrsnbrVA Post Number: 306 Registered: Jun-04 | not me im purely euro here but im sure there is someone. You could probably just do a search in google and find something to get you started. |
New member Username: BladespiritPost Number: 8 Registered: Jul-04 | You could also look for a honda crx. They are hatchback with no backseat, not sure how that would affect sound but they are smaller than a normal civic. I believe they stopped production around 93 so you should be able to find a decent priced one and mileage doesn't matter as much with honda/toyota so you would be fine with 150+ miles on it. Just make sure the fluids are changed and the timing belt has been replaced, nothing else to worry about. |
Gold Member Username: GlasswolfNorthWest, Michigan USA Post Number: 4390 Registered: Dec-03 | the CRX is great for an audio system. the MT subs would need 1500 watts EACH, not between two. I use the triple X 12" subs and have 1000 watts going to each one with it's own amp and they could still take about half again more power if I had it to feed them. |
Anonymous | im going to get a civic vx h/b, they dont have much room back there though, would u recamend taking out my back seats? and im going to get a phoenix gold 30. 0 1 or something like that, 3000 x 1 at 2 ohms and im getting 2 15" MT's when they come out, what kind of HU? are the flip screen HU better? and would this be enough for all my wireing?http://www.onlinecarstereo.com/CarAudio/ProductDetail.aspx?ProductID=13766 , thx |

If you are planning on competing, then you can get the H/B and take out the seats and the like. But if you want it to still be a daily driver, I would get something else. I found 94 Acura Integras, 96 Mazda MX-3 Precidias, and 94 Eagle Talons, which are all H/Bs (no truck to get that sound through :P), and they all have a little bit more room. Im not sure about all the wiring you would need, someone else could tell you if thats enough. For the HU, the flatscreens don't add anything to the sound quality. Everything that is in them is in the regular HU's as well. Infact, some are worse. They are just awesome anyway Just get whatever Alpine or Eclipse HU you want to get. If I were to suggest one, it would be the Alpine CDA-7998. |
Anonymous | allright thanks matt, can anybody tell me if that wireings enough? |
