Saturday, July 31, 2004 - 13:36 GMT I need to build a sealed sub enclosure for 2 kicker cvr 18" and I would like to know what would be the ideal volume for each chamber? I looked on kickers site but they just gave me a range from 2.2-5.4. Also I'm a little rusty on finding volume can someone tell me the formula I thinks it's L"xW"xH" then divide by 12" to get cubic feet; am I correct

Saturday, July 31, 2004 - 17:40 GMT 12 inches in a linear foot. 12x12x12 inches for a cubic foot. LxWxH for volume go with 3.0cu ft for each sub initially. if you like, you can add about 3 lbs of polyfill per chamber to change the response a bit.

Saturday, July 31, 2004 - 20:13 GMT would you recommend polyfill? What are the gains and losses from it? How much polyfill if I were to build a box with 2.5cu ft per chamber

Sunday, August 01, 2004 - 15:42 GMT you'd need about 5lbs of polyfill, figure 1lb of polyfil per each 1cu ft of the the chamber

Sunday, August 01, 2004 - 20:26 GMT what he said, and polyfill simply makes the box appear about 10% larger than actual volume to the subs. if you want it, is up to your ears.
