New member Username: FitzgeraldPost Number: 1 Registered: Jul-04 | alright guys i am new to the scene. i am thinking about buying two infinity kappa percect 12.1d subs. i am going to put them in a 05 ford focus zx3. what kind of box do you think i should put them in? |
New member Username: FitzgeraldPost Number: 2 Registered: Jul-04 | also you professionals what kind of amp would you recommend. i am on a tight budget dont really want to spend over 400 bucks, but i will if i have to. |

As far as a cheap amp, a JBL 600.1 would match nicely to those subs (A little over $200 online with full warranty, on www.sounddomain.com). I really wouldn't want to port them, they're optimized for sealed enclosures. |

New member Username: FitzgeraldPost Number: 5 Registered: Jul-04 | ok so you think that the jbl 600.1 will do. it is lacking in features (i know i really dont need them) and it is not available for a good price everywhere i have looked. what about the hifonics brutus bx 1000d |
Silver Member Username: Its_bacon12Hfl, Ny Usa Post Number: 944 Registered: Dec-03 | that will destroy them, a bx750d maybe or a kx600.1 a bp600.1 would be prime because its cheaper than the rest but its still an awesome amp, and you dont need subsonic filter for sealed...idk why u would hold it against that amp if ur running sealed anyways, yea that hifonics would eat the perfects alive max id put on them each is 400w rms |
New member Username: FitzgeraldPost Number: 6 Registered: Jul-04 | yah the bx1000d is 500watts @ 2ohms. i would prefer them at that. you still think it is too much |
Silver Member Username: Its_bacon12Hfl, Ny Usa Post Number: 948 Registered: Dec-03 | i thought the 12.1s came only in dual 4 then it would be 500w rms to each one |
New member Username: FitzgeraldPost Number: 7 Registered: Jul-04 | your right. forgive me. i thought it was going to go 2 ohms. lol. so i guess i will get the jbl bp600.1 if i can find it. i will trust you guys on this one |
New member Username: FitzgeraldPost Number: 8 Registered: Jul-04 | wait the jbl bp600.1 puts out 300x1 at 4 ohms that is not enough maybe i am wrong correct me on this one |

New member Username: FitzgeraldPost Number: 9 Registered: Jul-04 | a smile what does that mean lol |
Silver Member Username: Its_bacon12Hfl, Ny Usa Post Number: 952 Registered: Dec-03 | lol i dont know uh didnt see ur latest post b4 it... you can wire the subs completely paralell to get a 1 ohm load, the amp puts 600w rms at 2 and 1 ohm so you'll be fine there |
New member Username: FitzgeraldPost Number: 10 Registered: Jul-04 | and the jbl is stable at 1 ohm |
Silver Member Username: Its_bacon12Hfl, Ny Usa Post Number: 953 Registered: Dec-03 | yes it is |
