So I have a 2009 Mitsubishi Lancer SE. I have a pioneer double-DIN head unit, skar audio 2-12âSDR subs (1200RMS@1Ohm) on a skar 1200RMS mono block amp, a 1200W planet Audio 4ch amp running 4 Soundstage 6.5â 2 ways, 2 Boss TW15 tweeters and 2 6x9â 3 way speakers. I have upgrade the alternator to a JS 320a HO alt 5Farad Cap and 2 batteries. Running 1/0awg OFC wires for the big 3, power and ground for the batteries and cap, and 4awg wires for the amps themselves. Even with all that at high volume the lights will still dim when the bass hits and the volt metre on the cap reads 14.5v and drops as low as 12.5v on the hit. I know I put some cheap stuff in there but I wasnât looking to make this a big budget project (even though itâs kinda getting there). It sounds good to me at normal and high volume(Iâve spent several hours tuning it) the lights still dim. Any suggestions on how I can reduce/eliminate that voltage drop? Thanks
