For the people saying alpine type R’s are garbage I can promise you it’s the not the speaker and is either hooked wrong or the pissant amp they pushing them with isn’t nearly strong enough. I have 2 12 inch type R in a ported box with a amp that puts out 2,500 RMS at a 1 ohm load. Gain 3/4 of the way up which is about all they can handle and the bass is insane. Pissing in the wind with anything less than 1500 rms watts. I had a DB drive 1500 and it hit but Wasn’t enough power . They came alive when I hooked up my fosgate T2500.
