Help With Kicker Pt250

I installed a kicker pt250 in my 2016 Jetta, and it shuts off above 1/4 volume. I have no clue what it could be. I have the switch on DC which I feel like it should be on 12v but it dont work on 12v,I have no clue. Any help would be appreciated.
