Peugeot Radio "END"

I have a Peugeot 309, year 2001 with a Radio Model PU-2294A©. I have the code for unlocking but the display show 'END' and i cannt insert it. After readng a lot i take the radio out the car and powered it with an external battery. I have been waiting for more than 12 hours with it connected but the 'END' still show in the display. Can anybody help me? Regards. Miguel.
