My partner bought a 04 Honda civic today but the dealer couldn't find the code for the stereo. I spent time online looking for help as to get the serial number for the stereo, it's one of those systems with a screen for sat nav etc. I've looked over the car from top to bottom for any hidden stickers with the code but no use. I read that holding the 1 and 6 buttons during power up will display the serial code but this doesn't seem to work. The screen continues to display the word Code and has an box waiting for the 1st digit. The screen also displays the number 26000091 on the bottom right and I wondered if this could be the serial number? Any help would be appreciated as our 6 month old is getting pretty vocal about the lack of music! Thanks in advance.
Turn the ignition key to the ON position make sure the radio is switched OFF Press and hold the top sections of the SEEK/SKIP and CH/DISC bars. Now press and let go of the PWR/VOL knob You should now see the display changing between two screens A ten digit serial number will now appear on the display Example: U3093 L2019.
