I have been moving my system around from car to car for a while now. In most recent installation, it has been installed problem free for about 5 years. No problems, no worries... My component amp is mounted under the driver's seat, and I believe problem began when someone bumped the RCAs with their foot when sitting in the car.
I now have loud whine and cracking noise coming from the input of RCAs on my Hifonics Series VII amp. Through trial and error - I have found that when I push the actual cables and seat them further into the connector, the sound disappears. Would be happy, except inevitably the problem returns. Pretty frustrating - any suggestions welcome.
